When is Shopify Plus a good fit?

Generally revenue is a good place to start for assessing Plus. Using total annual revenue as a guide, you can start to get a better feel for how the benefits might offset the additional fees. We feel that Plus is a good fit for companies doing at least $100k/mo in revenue. However, existing revenue isn't the only requirement - sometimes Plus is actually necessary for certain businesses to unlock new revenue channels due to unique needs.

What are the benefits?

  1. Dedicated Support

    Perhaps on of the best attributes of Shopify Plus is the you receive dedicated priority support and a launch manager that can assist on migrating your previous site to Shopify as well as assisting on development in general. Not only that, but you also get a dedicated "Merchant Success Manager" that will assist you and your team in all things Shopify post-launch.

  2. Custom Checkout

    Shopify Plus grants the ability to customize and improve the checkout experience, ensuring further brand consistency and improved conversion rates. On top of the aesthetic abilities, Plus allows you to create custom fields in checkout, utilize social logins (single sign-on), and enable address autocomplete.

  3. Clone Stores

    With Shopify Plus, you are granted 9 free clone stores (.com, .com.au, .co.uk, etc.) that allow you to tailor your brand and marketing experience to different languages, cultures, and currencies.   5. Lower Transaction Fees:

    Each Shopify plan has its own transactions fees with the lowest of the fees being on Shopify Plus plan. When using external gateways such as Paypal or Stripe, you will pay additional fees based on your Shopify plan: Basic Shopify (2%), Shopify (1%), Advanced Shopify (0.5%) and Shopify Plus (.15%). Regardless of your payment gateway, you will also be charged credit card processing fees. That rate is also directly linked to your Shopify plan: Basic Shopify (2.9% + 30¢ per transaction), Shopify (2.6% + 30¢), Advanced Shopify (2.4% + 30¢), Shopify Plus (1.6% + 30¢). These lower rates really begin to add up as your company brings in more money - the cost savings are large enough that we recommend companies making over $500k revenue per year switch to the Shopify Plus plan.

    The script editor app lets you create scripts that are run each time a customer adds items to their cart. These scripts can be used to create special discounts such as "Buy 1, Get 1 Free". Plus also comes with "Flow", which allows you to configure automation processes and business logic.
